COMPANY PROFILE
From a small watch shop on Yaowarat Road since 1978, today "Kongka Furniture" is a family-owned company that inherits the production of furniture in the style of the Chinese palace during the dynasty era, such as the advanced technique of joining high-quality hardwood, the use of natural tree sap for coloring, and the high-level inlaying of pearls that is difficult to find in modern times.
"Kongka Furniture" has offered more than 200 different styles of furniture made from rosewood for over 45 years. The design team of "Kongka Furniture" consists of experienced artists who have traveled to many places around the world. One of the leading designers was honored as a national artist in the field of painting in 2020. The production process of "Kongka Furniture" was documented by the TV program in USA and Canada called "How's it made" on Discovery Channel, which selected Chinese furniture makers from around the world and filmed the entire production process at Kongka Furniture's factory for the documentary "Chinese Furniture," which has aired in over 166 countries in 35 languages.
Regarding the use of natural tree sap for coloring, "Kongka Furniture" is proud to be the only Chinese furniture maker in Thailand to participate in international conferences with eight countries under the project of "Her Royal Highness Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn's Project" held at Dusit Thani Hotel on July 24, 2015.
We at Kongka Furniture intend that our furniture will not only be durable and practical, but also represent Chinese culture that transcends time and space.

TRAVEL through time with tea
Entering Yuan dynasty, it is another interesting part of tea life. Yuan dynasty was the empire of China led by Kunlai Khan, who originally was a Mongolian leader of the Mongolian Borjigin clan. The mongols ruled territories including today’s north China for decades before winning over the previous dynasty. The foreign culture of drinking horse milk was mixed into tea, especially black tea.
